Getting ready for our summer events

 

We have had an amazing amount of craft donations given to the library, and this Friday we will be sorting them into kids craft packs so we can sell them at our fundraising Hobby Crafts event at the end of July.

Our Crafternoon group will be busy this Friday putting them together and you are more than welcome to join them.

Refreshments will be provided!

 

 

A KNOTTY TIME

 

We had a great time at Crafternoon the other day, making macrame hanging baskets. A new skill for everyone.

Our lovely Lorna aka Sparkle from Beautifully Different Brackley got tied up in knots! 🤣

 

Our next session is Friday 19th June and we'll be putting together craft packs to sell over the school summer holiday.

Huge thank you to local author, Lorna Marlow, who visited the library this morning as part of our Murder in March event. She was there to talk to us about her debut thriller "Finding Home".

We are looking forward to reading it!

The Duck-a-thon

 

Thank you to everyone who took part in the Friends of Brackley Library DUCK-A-THON this morning and thank you to the Mayor Cllr Bernie Tiller for popping along.

 

Lovely weather meant we saw some happy faces on the way round.

 

Money is still to come in, but it looks like we'll get around £350-£400. Please drop your sponsor money off at the library in an envelope with your name on it, or contact me for BACS details.

CRAFTERNOON GIFTS

 Our wonderful Friday Crafternoon group has been busy making items which can be purchased from the library.

 

This week they made beautiful floral book displays. These are available to buy for £10.
